BIO
I have always had an interest in horses and began riding at a very early age. I attended Benalla Pony Club for many years where I enjoyed a variety of disciplines. In my teenage years my focus turned to show jumping where I was part of the Victorian Junior Show Jumping Squad and competed in open A&B classes.
Pony Club also gave me many great experiences. I was lucky enough to be selected to represent Australia at the Interpacific Exchange in New Zealand and attend national competitions in Sydney and Toowoomba. I also achieved my A certificate from Pony Club Victoria in 2014.
After purchasing Jirrima Anchhorman (Nigel) my focus then turned to eventing. I purchased him as a green broken 4 year old and together we progressed to FEI2** level. He was such a reliable team mate and together we had some exciting placings at 2** level including a 3rd at the Victorian State Championships. Just recently my goals changed as I was diagnosed with an eye condition which effects my ability to focus and my depth perception. Following this I made the very difficult decision to sell Nigel as I no longer felt confident to event at the top level. He has found the best home and I am loving watching him teach his new rider the ropes.
Over the last 12 months the horses have taken the back seat as I spent many hours planning for our wedding. We transformed our family shearing shed to create an amazing wedding venue. During this time the competitions have been quieter, and I have enjoyed coaching at local pony clubs.
Currently I am working with my homebred Warmblood Stock Horse mare. She has had lots of basic training and has taken it all in her stride. She is coming along very nicely and I am looking forward to introducing her to the competition arena.
I absolutely love Black Horse Clothing. The range, quality and affordability of their clothing is amazing. I am very lucky to be part of this amazing team and hope that I can do them proud this season.
FAVOURITE BLACK HORSE BREECHES
This is so hard to choose because I love them all... At the moment I am loving Song and Sam Pro.
